YXK (Kurdistan Student’s Union) and JXK (Kurdistan Women Students) activists gathered in Mainz on the night of 16 June and dropped a banner over the Mainz highway.
The banners written in English and German read, “Turkey is bombing Kurds” and “Mexmûr, Sengal, Qendîl – Stop Erdogan!” Pictures of the PKK Central Committee member Kasım Engin, who was martyred in the Turkish air attack on 27 May, were also hanged.
