WAN, NORTHERN KURDISTAN
Emrah Görür (20) was killed and Saim Yılmaz was seriously injured by the invading Turkish soldiers in the Kaşkol (Qaşqol) area of Wan’s Başkale district for unknown reasons. Wounded Yılmaz was taken to Wan District Research Hospital for treatment. Görür’s lifeless body was removed from the morgue in Başkale State Hospital. His corpse is expected to be brought to Wan for an autopsy.
A witness local to the area shared that Görür was first drowned with a scarf and then killed with a gun on the field where he grazed his animals.
Görür, who lost his father 3 years ago, took care of his mother and 7 siblings.
