According to information obtained by Nuce Ciwan sources, a meeting was held between Turkish intelligence officers and a person named Hacı Ümran in the village of Geliyê Reş in the Bradost area. Turkish military intelligence and MIT personnel reportedly attended the meeting.
The Turkish intelligence staff supposedly attempted to encourage Hacı Ümran, an influential figure within society, to encourage civilians to fight against the PKK.
It is known that the Turkish state has encouraged some tribes to take arms against PKK in this region.
