VIENNA, AUSTRIA
Turkish fascists, under the influence of Erdogan, had attacked revolutionary, democratic associations in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
Following the attacks of the fascists, a mass rally took place on Thursday evening at 18.00 as part of the protests that started with the slogan “Democratic resistance against fascist attacks”.
DKTM, DIDIF, MLKP, SKB, ADHK, VTID, Comintern, Platform Radikale Linke, PYD members and activists also participated in the action organized by the European Women’s Platform.
The following slogans were chanted during the rally: “Long live revolutionary solidarity”, “Guerrilla revenge, revenge”, “We are with you, Kurdistan”, “Get out of Kurdistan”, “Murderer Erdogan”, “Kurdistan will be a grave to fascism”, “Freedom for Öcalan”, “Status for Kurdistan”, “Biji Serok Apo”, “Be Serok jiyan na be”, “Biji HPG”, “Biji YPG”, “Biji YPJ”, “Bakur, Bashur, Rojhilat, all Kurds one country.”
On the other hand, the Austria Oppressed Immigrants Confederation (AvEG-Kon), the European Turkish Workers Confederation (Atik) and the European Kurdish Women’s Movement (TJK-E) and the European Democratic Kurdish Society Congress (KCDC-A) made speeches protesting the fascist attacks, occupation, and massacres which are being continued in Kurdistan by the Turkish state. A call was made to “enlarge the united revolutionary struggle all over Austria.”
CONFLICT
Conflicts are taking place between Turkish fascists and United European Youth. Antifascists who have gathered in various places are trying to be provoked during action.
Austrian police are detaining activists from the United European Youth Instead of preventing fascists.
