WAN, NORTHERN KURDISTAN
In a written statement, Heftanîn Revenge Unit announced that they had carried out an action against a building used by fascist Turkish authorities to forcibly turn Kurdish youth into agents of the Turkish state. An assimilation centre being camouflaged as a school was also hit by the Unit.
The statement released by the Revenge Unit is as follows:
“At 17:30 pm on June 17, an action was organized with highly destructive EYPs against the building of the Wan Metropolitan Municipality building, where the appointed trustee in Wan İpekyolu and the building where AKP propaganda was made and where the people were the people were tried to be turned into agents.
Our unit members who tried to move away from the action area were targetted by a ranger type armored vehicle, but our members managed to retreat from the area. The enemy then started a comprehensive operation but did not get any results.
At the same time, a school building where Kurdish children were exposed to assimilation policies was effectively hit. The neighborhood was blockaded with drones and armored vehicles, but our unit members managed to leave the area.
We will narrow the streets of Kurdistan and hit the enemy from its lifeline as the revenge forces of our people, against the invasion attack that the fascist Turkish army and its counters have started attempting to liquidate the Kurdish freedom movement.”
