BİELEFELD, GERMANY
Zeynep Kınacı (Zilan) and Halim Dener, who was murdered by the German police in Hannover in 1994, were commemorated at the Democratic Kurdish Cultural Center in the city of Bielefeld in Germany, led by Jinên Ciwan ên Azad (JCA).
Stand totally against the total attacks of the enemy
Speaking on behalf of the Women’s Movement, Xatun Demir emphasised that the line created by Zilan is the line of free women and Leader Apo.
After a minute’s silence in commemoration of all revolutionary martyrs, it was emphasised that Martyr Zilan’s action is an outcry against slavery. Demir said, “The only way to protect her memory is to organize in the struggle for freedom and to stand totally against the total attacks of the enemy.”
Speaking on behalf of JCA, Faraşin Botan said, “We take the Zilan line, that is, the line of the goddesses. Today, all hegemonic powers, especially Turkish fascism, want to dominate Kurdistan and the Middle East with a male-dominated mentality. We young women will respond to this fascism with the Zilan line. ”
Speeches were also made on behalf of the Committee of Martyrs, and a spot about Kınacı and Dener was exhibited.
