HPG (Peoples’ Protection Forces) Press Center shared details of the invasion attacks launched by the invading Turkish army against the Heftanin region and the actions taken against the invaders. The HPG statement is as follows:
“On June 17, our forces targeted enemy troops trying to move from Martyr Berivan Hill to Martyr Dara Hill. While the number of enemy soldiers who were killed and wounded cannot be determined, the enemy progress here has stopped.
A Cobra-type helicopter trying to bomb the area during the night hours was targeted by our forces and put under heavy fire. After the intervention, Cobra helicopters were forced to move away from the area.
On June 20, at 15.00, our forces targeted enemy troops on Martyr Sipan Hill. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in this action, where enemy troops were under heavy fire.
On the same day, between 22.30 and 23.30, the invading Turkish army fighter jets intensely bombed the Xantur and Geliyê Pisaxa area. Assault helicopters trying to enter the area after the attack of warplanes were effectively hit by our forces and the helicopters had to move away from the area. Information about the developments in this area, where attacks and intensity continue, will be shared with the public as they are obtained.
On the night of June 18, the warplanes belonging to the invading Turkish army bombed the Sergelê village area of Amedes district of Duhok. We did not experience any loss in these bombardments. ”
