The People’s Defense Forces (HPG) announced the results of guerrilla actions carried out under the Revolutionary Move of Cenga Heftanin. 34 invading Turkish soldiers were killed and 2 Cobras were hit, the HPG shared. The statement released by the HPG is as follows:
“Our forces carried out extensive actions against the invasion operation of the invading Turkish army against Heftanin on 21 June, and hit the invading Turkish army heavily. Details of the actions carried out within the scope of the Genga Heftanin Revolutionary Move, in which 34 soldiers were punished and 2 Cobra-type helicopters were hit:
3 Sabotage actions
From 22:00 on 20 June till 02:00 on 21 June, the invading Turkish army warplanes and attack helicopters intensely bombed the Xantur area. Our forces have intensively attacked the attack helicopters that bombed the area, and an attack helicopter helicopter was forced to move away from the area.
Our forces organized 3 sabotage actions against the invaders who tried to make set downs with Skorsky helicopters. While many enemy soldiers were punished in these actions, the number could not be fully clarified.
At 09:30, our forces carried out a sabotage action against the operation units in the Xantur area and 5 soldiers were punished in this action.
At 11:00, our forces targeted another operation unit in the Xantur area and 3 soldiers were punished in this enemy unit that was hit by sabotage tactics.
At 12.30, our forces carried out an effective action against the invading soldiers in the Tepê Dupişk area. 6 soldiers were punished in this action where enemy troops were put under heavy fire from 3 different branches.
At 13.10, our forces carried out an action against the soldiers located on Sipan Hill. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in this action, where enemy troops were under heavy fire.
Cobra
At 14:00, our forces carried out an effective action against the operations troops on Qesrokê Hill. Our forces, which sneaked into the enemy’s position, effectively hit enemy soldiers from close range. As a result of this action, 6 enemy soldiers were punished. During this action, our comrade Memyan, who fought heroically against enemy troops until his last bullet, reached martyrdom.
After the action, a Cobra-type helicopter trying to bomb the area was targeted by our forces and the helicopter was hit as a result of effective hits.
At 14.30 and 16.30, our forces targeted soldiers who tried to be deployed on Martyr Berivan Hill twice. In this action where enemy soldiers were targeted and shot, 3 soldiers were punished.
At 15:00, our forces carried out an action against enemy soldiers in the Xantur area. Our forces, which sneaked into the enemy troops and effectively hit the enemy, punished 11 enemy soldiers here. After this action, the invading Turkish army, which bombed the area, removed the dead and injured soldiers from the area with Skorksy helicopters. ”
HPG also provided the following information on other actions:
“As part of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Move, our forces carried out an action against the enemy soldiers at the Lelikan Hill in the Xakurkê region from the Media Defense Areas on June 21, at 01.00. 3 enemy soldiers were punished in this action where enemy positions and shelters were effectively hit.
On June 17, at 19.00, our forces carried out an action against the soldiers located around the Osyan station in the Besta region of Şırnak. In this action where enemy soldiers were hit effectively, a total of 2 soldiers, 1 of whom was ranked, was punished.
On June 21, at 10.40 and 17.40, our forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army in the Tepê Sor area in the Çelê (Çukurca) district of Hakkari. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in these actions in which enemy positions were under fire.
On the night of June 21st, the invading Turkish army fighter jets bombed the Golka and Hakkari Hill areas of the Metina region from the Media Defense Areas. We did not experience any loss in these bombardments. ”
