BEHDİNAN, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
HPG (Peoples’ Protection Forces) Press Center shared a written statement regarding guerrilla actions and the fascist attacks of the terrorist Turkish state on 18 and 19 June.
The following details were given in the statement:
“The historical resistance of our forces continues against the invasion operation launched by the invading Turkish army against the Heftanin region. Our forces have dealt heavy blows to the enemy in the actions carried out against the invaders within the scope of the Revolutionary Move of Cenga Heftanin. The details of the actions taken in historical resistance are as follows:
On June 18 at 22.30 and on June 19 at 14.30, our forces carried out 2 actions against enemy troops on Martyr Adar Hill. 11 enemy soldiers were punished in these actions where enemy troops were hit with sabotage tactics and shot with individual weapons.
On June 19, at 10.45, our forces undertook an action by surveilling the enemy troops trying to advance from Martyr Hemze Hill, which is connected to Partizan Hill, to Qesrokê Hill. Our forces put enemy troops under intense fire at close range, and 11 enemy soldiers were punished here.
In this action, our comrade Amara, who fought heroically against the enemy until her last shell, reached martyrdom. After the action, the invading Turkish army bombed the area intensely with offensive helicopters.
Our forces put the helicopters under fire, forcing them to move away.
At noon on the same day, our forces carried out an action by surveilling the soldiers on Martyr Berivan Hill. Our forces targeting the gathered enemy unit put the enemy unit under fire. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action could not be determined.
2 COBRAS HIT
On the same day, between 20.00 and 21.00, the warplanes and attack helicopters of the invading Turkish army bombed the Xantur area. Our forces targeted assault helicopters in the area and hit 1 Cobra type helicopter by performing accurate hits.
Again, attack helicopters trying to bomb the area between 22.00 and 00.00 became the target of our forces for the second time. 1 Cobra-type helicopter that was hit heavily was damaged. The invading forces, after being hit forcefully, had to move away from the area.”
DISPOSED WITH SOLDIERS INSIDE
Giving information about the action in Çelê, HPG said, “Our forces, within the scope of Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Move, proceeded towards Şehit Rêber Hill direction from Şehit Bager Hill in Çelê (Çukurca) district of Hakkari. On June 18, our forces organized an action against a vehicle of special forces. This vehicle, which was hit accurately, was completely destroyed together with the 5 soldiers in it. ”
