MEXMÛR, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
Young women from Mexmûr supported the death fast resistance initiated by Group Yorum member İbrahim Gökçek, with the request of lifting the concert bans, ending arbitrary detentions and arrests, removing search bulletins about their members, and releasing detained members of the group.
The young women showed solidarity with İbrahim Gökçek, who is on day 307 of the death fast resistance: “We respectfully commemorate Helin Bölek, who sacrificed her life to sing her songs freely as the young women from Mexmûr. We salute the resistance of their member İbrahim Gökçek. As young women, we support this resistance with a song for them. And we invite all young people to sing their Group Yorum songs. ”
Helin Bölek, a member of the music group became immortalised on day 288 of the death-fast resistance.
