CENTRAL NEWS
We are going through a process of celebrating the 71st birthday of Peoples Leader Abdullah Öcalan. People from all walks of life celebrate April 4 including young people and women from all over the world. What is being celebrated in the birth of the Peoples’ Leader is the light of true and meaningful freedom. It is birth and rebirth which is being celebrated, the action of being reborn consistently like the elements of the universes which surround us.
By adding meaning to the struggle of being born, the question of how to really live in the time we are spared on our planet is one that many are yet to figure, however close to death the system may tell them they are.
While it is known that our boundaries, our characters and traits are already outlined prior to physical birth, what our contents are filled with is rarely the morality of society or the ethics of community. Rather, people are born as the shares of a kingdom, as mere statistics to a system that has emptied the meaning of meaning.
The physical birth and the three spiritual rebirths of our leadership have exceeded the sovereign boundaries that many of us have been imprisoned to. Travelling through the dimensions of the universe to immortality, the birth of our Leadership is a transition into the true definition of birth.
FIRST BIRTH
Our leadership’s resistance to dominating relationship styles begins at a younger age. The leadership takes on the quest of bringing out the neolithic society characteristics, resisting in the person of Mother Üveyş and channeling this into a result-oriented struggle which takes its source from this directional questioning.
He would later consider the meaning he attributed to this style of relationship to the ECtHR defenses as follows: ı
“When I look back, I would appreciate and acknowledge that it was a noble voice of the mother goddess culture which was conveyed to me. It was not the mother I rebelled against, but the cruel, alienating, hypocritical order of the male-dominated society that made women and mothers disappear.”
In addition to this evaluation of our leadership, many of his evaluations reflect the pursuit of freeing and socializing the mother-son relationship. The definition of birth, being born, surely goes far beyond the given meaning. This time, the role of maternity, which is integrated with the pioneering role of women, is dialectic with the role of being the right child, and launching a war against all kinds of approaches of the sovereign system that have made the maternity phenomenon meaningless for five thousand years.
The quest to establish one’s own sociality is integrated with the quest to reveal the role of the mother in the development of sociality. With this quest, the Leadership’s natural birth is loaded with a meaning as the first nativity, and it gains meaning as a source that will constantly feed new natives.
The claim of our leadership to establish his own sociality, reflects the self-will in being born.
The second birth caused by this birth reflects the style of establishing one’s own sociality, extending to the creation of an organized structure and the convergence of this with tools of struggle.
SECOND BIRTH
The stage referred to as the second birth is the finding of identity within the establishment of the PKK, enlarging the notion of his first birth and turning this towards a struggle to establish self-sociality.
The claim originating from the first birth was turned into a struggle in the second birth, into an organized movement. This has gained meaning becoming the birth of a leadership, and has led to historical consequences such as the rebirth of a people, woman.
The subject that our Leadership emphasizes most in the evaluations regarding this process is the enlightenment and surpassing of the search which was caused by the inadequecies of the first birth. That the results targeted were not achieved in the first birth, or the first search.
Concurrently, this is also a radical analysis of the deviations caused in relation to the social rebirth and the improper meaing of death to society. He imposes that this meaning is analysed, studied and overcomem and that social freedom is placed on the agenda.
Our leadership states the following regarding the second birth:
“The second rebirth in my life covers the time frame between 15 August 1984-15 February 1999. This fifteen-year process is an incredible process in which the armed struggle of the PKK, or the second development in the PKK, is concentrated. It can be compared to Babak, Kharijites, Karmates and Hasan Sabbah groups in the history of the Middle East.
While in the first stages Judaism is substantial, the second stage includes a mixture of Judaism and Mohammedism. The task of transporting the group of hard-moving refugees to the promised land requires great effort and skill. While evoking the actions of Moses, Jesus resembles the actions of Mohammed in war in Madinah.
Such an atmosphere of spiritual faith and belief prevails. It is the belief in faithfulness. Scientific socialism is carried out by gaining the power of faith ”
THIRD BIRTH
The third birth is meaningful and with the scope of resistance, it deepens with criticism towards the state and power. It is the making sense of nature which immortalises the second birth. It was carried out to protect birth and prevent all kinds of deviations that mean death to society.
It is the product of this approach in which our leadership defines freedom as overcoming the imperative, and that this is realized through the system of democratic confederalism. The Leadership, for the third birth expresses,:
“The third life period, if it can be called life in its essence, is the stage beginning on 15 February, 1999 until the present day.
Its distinctive feature is that it begins with a break from the state-oriented, in particular capitalist modern life in general. I believe that real progress does not pass through giant cities and rulers, but on the contrary, such places are the greatest sources of disease. Life in ecological settlements that surpassed the old village and the new city with the latest data of science and technique, will be the real revolution. If there is a march towards the future, I believe it is meaningful and worth walking on the basis of these facts.”
At this point, the question of “How to Live” deepens the quest to make life meaningful by surpassing all other questions in terms of importance.
The ‘freedom’ definition and the perspective of struggle outlined by the leadership is the reach to the power of resistance, the meaningfulness of having been born, of being alive, existing and becoming ourselves. The power of April 4 brings us to the consciousness of being ourselves and resisting. We celebrate this day as the historical moment that allowed us to walk the path of freedom. It is the magnitude of the power of resistance against the sovereign system and the quest for freedom created by the Leadership makes April 4 a celebration. Therefore, meeting 4 April by raising resistance with an approach equivalent to its real definition is the only valid way of strengthening our holiness and making sense of our own birth.
