CENTRAL NEWS

Kurdish journalists issued a call to all parties, demanding the end of the tension in Zînê Wertê which is putting the safety and achievements of 4 parts of Kurdistan at stake.

The statement issued by the Kurdish journalists reads as follows:
“The tension that arises in Zînê Wertê region of Southern Kurdistan, may anytime turn into a conflict and clashes between Kurdish forces. During each and every internal clashes which Kurds name as “Brakuji” (brother killing) and “Xwekuji” (self-killing), only Kurds themselves lost and their enemies benefitted from such internal clashes.
The Turkish state from the very first day aims at the achievements that Kurds have marked and does its very best to eliminate those achievements in 4 parts of Kurdistan.
Invading military operations in Rojava, hostility against  the Southern Kurdistan Independence referendum, burning people alive in basements in Northern Kurdistan, the current detentions and operations are just a few samples of Turkey’s hostility against Kurds.
The Turkish state has deployed military and intelligence forces in many regions of southern Kurdistan, and its efforts to ignite an internal clash between Kurds are still ongoing.
If the Kurdish forces further lighten Turkey’s load, they should know that this will get on top of all Kurds.
This tension and conflict, which puts the safety and achievements of 4 parts of Kurdistan at stake, should be ended as immediately as possible.
– All parties should retreat their military forces from Zînê Wertê region
– Later face to face meetings should be held and the conflicts should be resolved via dialogue
– It is obvious that sometimes the achievements of Kurdish political forces may require having dialogue with colonialist states as well. This sort of dialogue, however, should not go against any political forces of another part of Kurdistan, their achievements or the Kurdish nation.
– In order for such conflicts not to be repeated in the future and the issues to be resolved permanently, all Kurdish political forces should reinitiate their efforts to hold the National Congress.
We truly believe that there are no conflicts that cannot be solved via dialogue between Kurdish political forces. We, the undersigned Kurdistani journalists, call for all Kurdish political forces to act responsibly, resolve the conflict as immediately as possible, and initiate dialogue for a permanent solution.”
