QENDÎL, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
While it was expected that the cooperating traitorous KDP would retreat its forces from the hills surrounding the Zinê and Wertê villages of Qendîl months ago, today it drew attention that the KDP responded to the civilian bombardments of the fascist Turkish state by deploying soldiers and heavy weapons.
The KCK Foreign Relations Committee, which made a statement on the subject, confirmed that new forces had been sent to the region and said they were worried that the move would lead to a dangerous escalation in tension among Kurdish forces.
In the statement, it was asked the people of the South to be sensitive to the dangerous situation experienced, to put pressure on the parties to prevent the danger from escalating, and to prevent the Turkish state, the owner of the plan, from breaking the Kurds again. The statement is as follows:
“We have been following the dangerous escalation that started in the region from the first day. We had a series of meetings with the people living in those villages.
While our people convey to us that the dangerous situation created is not in the interests of the Kurds, and that the Kurds do not want such tensions to feed the narratives of the Turkish state, they want all Kurdish forces to be sensitive and careful in this regard.
While sharing this sensitivity of our people with the public, we call for the people, the most sensitive segments of society and the intellectuals, writers and artists to take action to stop this dangerous escalation. Because the disintegration of the Kurds is useful for no one but the enemy of the Kurds: the Turkish state and the AKP. ”
The statement expressed concern that the KDP, which caused escalation in the region by dispatching soldiers and ammunition, and all other forces causing escalation should be drawn to their own areas.
