The Istanbul Chamber of Physicians responded to the announcement of a curfew 2 hours before it was set to start, saying “This is not epidemic management, it is perception management”.
The Istanbul Chamber of Physicians (ITO) reacted to the announcement of the 2-day curfew launched in 31 provinces through a post on social media two hours before the curfew was set to start.
Touching upon the mile-long queues building up at the doors of bakeries and stores until midnight yesterday, the chamber stated:
“Instead of taking the precautions required by the pandemic at the required time, there is a hasty curfew putting people on the street at midnight when public expectations increase.”
Two-day curfew.
