Erogan, who had driven Turkish economy into slumpflation and arrested the economists who spoke on the issue, held a press conference yesterday after strong tensions among the public due to the lack of masks, sanitary equipment and the delay in taking any real precaution. The outcome of the conference, though, drew stronger reactions to the corrupt dictatorship.
On Monday, Erdogan launched a National Solidarity Campaign to “aid the fight against the coronavirus“, generously donating seven of his official monthly salaries to the initiative. With Turkish unemployment rates at an all–time–high and the cost of living paralleling the prior, the people of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan flooded Twitter with the tag, #ZIRNIKYOK.
Erdogan initiated the tag #BizBizeYeteriz (‘we have enough for our own‘) for his National Solidarity Campaign, sharing his bank details for the people to donate money to. The people replied #ZIRNIKYOK (‘we don‘t have a thing‘), in response to the campaign that asked citizens to cover the costs of Erdogans expensive palaces and adventurous jihad wars.
Some replies to the fascist dictatorship include “No wealth fund, no crisis aids, no prudence funds. No money from the poor, laborer or manufacturer!” Another user drew attention to the funds apportioned to cover the costs of the most recent waves of earthquakes in Turkey. A user shred, “disclose what you did with the earthquake money first.”
Another User summed up, “the money from the earthquakes is gone. The money from the paid military service is gone. The money from the public improvements pardon is gone. The money from the tax pardons is gone. The money collected for martyrs is gone. The asset funds are gone. The dark day money is gone. All the factories built within the last 70 years has been sold. Erdoğan is telling us to pray because only God can save us.”
Only in November 2019, Turkey‘s palace clown Erdoğan had stated “The IMF asked us for a debt of 5 billion dollars, or perhaps euros. I told the friends to give it. Then they looked at how crazy these Turks are and decided not to take it.”
These words came from the dictator short after criminalizing anyone who spoke negatively about the economy, labeling economists terrorists with white collars who attempted to spread fear throughout the country.
