In a written statement, HPG (Peoples’ Protection Forces) Press Center shared the details of guerrillas actions in Serhat and Xakurkê. HPG stated the following:
“Within the scope of the Revolutionary Victory Move, which is continuing in the Serhat Province, our forces have carried out actions against the invading Turkish army. In this context;
On April 1, at 07:00, our forces carried out an action targeting the security hill of the Korxan police station in the district of Iğdır. 4 soldiers were killed and 2 soldiers were injured in this action where the enemy soldiers on the hill were effectively hit from 4 arms. Following the action, the invading Turkish army removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with armored vehicles.
On April 2, at 10:00, our forces carried out a series of assassination actions against the soldiers at Vedat Özkaya outpost in the district of Bazid (Doğubeyazıt) in Ağrı. In this action, 2 enemy soldiers who were hit accurately were killed.
Our troops, who carried out the actions, have reached the base areas safely.
As part of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Move, our forces targeted the invading Turkish army, located on Martyr Axin Hill in the Xakurkê region, one of the Media Defense Areas, on April 2 at 08.45. The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in this action, where enemy positions and shelters were put under heavy fire. ”
