The YPS-JIN Coordination made a written statement on the occasion of its 5th year. In their statement, the woman’s civil defence unit operating in Turkey-occupied Northern Kurdistan shared:
“The international conspiracy continues with a new concept, aiming the total liquidation and destruction of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and the Women’s Freedom Struggle in the person of Leader Apo. The fire that emerged in Imralı Island and the subsequent message of the AKP-MHP fascism to the Kurdish people, the leader, to the women who are locked in the health, safety and conditions of Leader Apo is clear.
It is not possible to deal with this message, which is sent to all the people of Kurdistan – from freedom fighters, to women insurgents, to young women, and even Kurdish mothers. To all people from 7 to 70 people. Fascism is preparing its own end by playing with fire on Imrali island.
Our truth of women’s freedom, being locked around the Sun in the land of fire; It has the power to turn the brain of fascism and their dynamics of existence into hell. The heritage left by martyrs we cannot begin to list, survives.
