Hasan Ozgunes, a HDP lawmaker for the Sirnak province, expressed through social media that he and other HDP MPs are receiving death threats from Turkey’s JITEM.
A social media account called ‘JİTEM’ sent threat messages to 8 HDP MPs. HDP MPs filing criminal complaint about the accounts via their attorneys said these threats are reflections of AKP turning back to 90s.
Threat messages were sent to the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) deputies, and to Hasan Ozgunes on this occasion after the sociologist Veli Saçılık was also threatened by some social media accounts that claims to be the members of Grey Wolves. (A Turkish Nationalist organisation)
Til date, HDP MPs Serpil Kemalbay, Murat Sarısaç, Hüseyin Kaçmaz, Habip Eksik, Nuran İmir, Semra Güzel, Murat Çepni and Hasan Özgüneş have been threatened with death by the JITEM covert wing and intelligence agency of the Turkish Gendarme.
