Six members of regime forces and loyalists have been killed, while at least nine members of “Turkistan Islamic Party” have been killed on the front lines in Jabal al-Zawiya on Friday morning, after the supposed ‘Idlib Summit’ ceasefire came into effect.
The ceasefire was broken within three hours, according to the SOHR, after regime forces and jihadist groups exchanged rocket-propelled grenades on the front lines in Saraqeb countryside, east of Idlib city. It is unknown by which party the attacks were perpetuated by.
According to the UK-based SOHR: “Over the past 24 hours, Russian jets executed 86 airstrikes targeting the countryside of Saraqeb, Ariha, Maarrat Misrin and areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside, and Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama, in addition to eight raids by regime jets on areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah.”
