Amid the wave of economic suicides sweeping Turkey, it has been reported that a further two citizens committed suicide in Konya and Wan two days ago due to economic shortcomings.
While a university student committed suicide in Istanbul, a father in Cizîra Botan jumped from a district office, also committing suicide. The response of jihadist President Tayyip Erdoğan to those who criticized the fascist power due to the economic crisis was ‘Do you know the price of those bullets?’
Cizîra Botan
It was stated that Nezir Kılıç, married and father of 4 children who worked as a cleaner at the Fatih Primary School in Cizîra Botan was dismissed from his job 6 months ago. After being unemployed and asking for help for months on end, the father ended his life.
Istanbul
Hakan Taşdemir, 4th-grade student at Istanbul University Radio, Television and Cinema Department, ended his life. It was reported that Taşdemir had been looking for a job for a long while and was heavily in debt.
Konya
MÇ, a 37-year-old truck driver committed suicide in the Konya truck garage due to financial difficulties. It turned out that MÇ, who had his truck broken down, ended his life because he could not afford to live.
In the morning of the incident, friends who reached the funeral of MÇ reported the situation to the police and medical teams. While the medical teams determined that MÇ was killed, the police launched an investigation into the incident. The body of MÇ was taken to Konya Numune Hospital for an autopsy.
Wan
A young man named Geylani Kamer was found lifeless at his home in the Erciş district of Wan. It was learned that Kamer’s brother also committed suicide 6 years ago due to financial difficulties. Kamer, who ended his life by hanging himself in the room of his house, could not be saved.
The fascist dictatorship continues to worry about ‘bullets’
With the deepening economic crisis and the cost of living, the ‘I cannot get along’ suicides have risen to agenda lately. The reaction of the terrorist, jihadist, dictatorship in-return was: “Did my Mehmet destroy the terrorist in Idlib with their guns and the terrorists in Cerablus with their tanks? Do you know the price of those bullets?”
Suicide rose to agenda in Turkey following a wave of successive economic cyanide suicides. While suicide by cyanide continued to rise throughout the country, the reaction of Turkish authorities was to ban cyanide rather than facing the reason behind the suicides.
The suicide wave continued to expand after the economic crisis was heightened with war policies. Last week, a citizen named Adem Yarıcı burned himself in front of the Governorship of Hatay after explaining “my children are hungry.”
