AMED, NORTHERN KURDISTAN
The body of Martyr Rizgar Farqin (Erhan Ölçen), who was martyred in a clash in the Lice district of Amed on November 3, 2019, was handed over to his family after 108 days.
Received the body of the martyr from the Gazi Yaşargil Education and Research Hospital yesterday evening, the family took the body to the Yeniköy Cemetery being followed by armoured police vehicles.
The police who blockaded the Yeniköy Cemetery prevented the leaders of the Solidarity Union and Culture Association (MEBYA-DER) and the People’s Democratic Party (HDP), from participating in the burial ceremony.
The funeral was buried only with a ceremony attended by family members.
