ISTANBUL, TURKEY
The Mothers of Peace Assembly, who stated that the fire that was reported to have occurred on the island of Imrali worried them, requested that the lawyer’s interview Leader Abdullah Öcalan as soon as possible.
The Peace Mothers Assembly made a statement at their centre in Fatih, Istanbul, to draw attention to the situation of Leader Abdullah Öcalan following the fire that reportedly broke out in İmralı. Making a statement at the meeting attended by many Peace Mothers, Perihan Akbulut expressed her concerns.
Akbulut stated that these concerns increased even more because they could not get healthy information after the fire, and emphasized that Leader Öcalan is not an ordinary person, especially for the Kurds, and therefore, it is necessary to meet with him to halt the growing concerns. “Authorized institutions should make an urgent statement regarding this situation,” said Akbulut.
Akbulut went on to say: “No Kurd can remain in their house until we receive news from Öcalan. I call out to all the Kurds; Stand up. Everyone should make a sound until they get a positive answer about Öcalan’s situation. Their media is lying. So we repeat again; Öcalan’s lawyers go and meet and bring an answer to the Kurds. ”
