PAJK Coordination made a written statement today about the fire on İmralı Island. The description of PAJK is as follows:
“With the international conspiracy, absolute isolation has been imposed on the Kurdish people, the peoples of the region, women, and our Leader for 21 years. It was announced that a fire broke out in İmralı Island, where our leadership and comrades were held. Since February 15, 1999, Imrali Island has been turned into a private detention house. All the policies carried out on İmralı Island come into force by the Turkish state as a result of the joint decisions of the international conspirator forces.
The Turkish state has entered very dangerous games in the region. While trying to improve its influence in the region, it has developed partnerships with central hegemonic forces and tried to balance these partnerships with forces such as public enemy HTŞ, El Nusra, El Qaida. It deepened the war in Libya and in Syria. With the protection and support of NATO, the Turkish state, which executes the massacre of the peoples with many paramilitary groups, carries a special hostility towards the Kurds.
The system developed by our leadership within the perspective of a dignified peace, common life and freedom of women attracts the attention of the world. While the peoples of the Middle East see our Leadership as a symbol of peace and freedom, the Turkish state wants to take revenge from our Leadership to stifle the demand of freedom of the people with free will and to put them in isolation. These hostile attitudes of the Turkish state stem from hostility to democracy, and the lack of dignity for a dignified life. For this very reason, it carries out all kinds of attacks by deepening isolation in İmralı.
Now, it is no coincidence that the world system declared that a fire broke out in İmralı Island in a process where health, war, death, economic crisis gave signs of danger. Who, why and how was this fire caused when the İmralı Island, which is a centre where all possibilities or impossibilities are controlled by the Turkish state, is managed by the private war centre? What are the reasons for the fire occurring this winter? The Turkish state and the international powers establishing that system are responsible for the entire system on Imrali.
What is the health status of our leadership, how was this affected by the fire? In order to answer many more questions, lawyers, family and CPT must meet with our Leadership.
The statements made by the fascist Turkish state, which applied genocide to the Kurdish people and implemented this system, which has been entered twenty-two years, have no counterpart. In this respect, the lawyers of Önder Apo should go to İmralı immediately. They must explain the facts to our people and the public.
The Turkish state is playing the Kurdish hostility card again in order to overcome the big jam it has experienced. It seems that our Leadership is being targeted with new provocations. It has entered into different preparations by endangering our movement, our people, the health and life of the Leadership. For this reason, we should be sensitive around the slogan ‘No life without our leader’. We must be prepared in action for any attacks that the Turkish state will undertake.
In the statements made by the Turkish fascist Minister of Internal Affairs in the day before a fire broke out on İmralı Island, our party was wanted to be terrorized, and the 8 March actions are wanted to be terrorized.
The PKK is a women’s party, putting the freedom of all women at its target. Our Leadership is the founder of our women’s party, with our leadership the Kurdish women’s struggle is more meaningful in conjunction with the adoption of March 8 in Kurdistan, Turkey, the Middle East and for the struggle for freedom which has moved to new mediums around the world.
We owe it to our Leadership. As a women’s party, it is our duty to get payback for all the attacks on our Leadership. All of our militant structure, our people have taken action as soon as news has reached us. Now is the time to grow our actions.
Our people, friends, women and young people should not leave the squares without the lawyers and families going to İmralı and making an explanation. Our people should be mobilized from seven to seventy everywhere and should not leave the squares until they learn the truth from lawyers. ”
