ANKARA, TURKEY
Özlem Özen, the wife of major sergeant Çağlar Özen, was killed by her husband in her home in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara. The major sergeant committed suicide after murdering Özlem.
Police, fire brigade and medical teams were dispatched to the scene following the sound of gunshots. In the examination made by the health teams, it was declared that Özlem and Çağlar Özen had died at the scene.
While a wave of economic-suicides is sweeping through Turkey and Turkey-occupied areas, the reason for the suicide and murder committed by the major sergeant has not yet been revealed.
