The HPG (Peoples’ Protection Forces) Press Contact Center shared details of an action taken by YJA Star forces organized in Heftanin yesterday. The HPG description details the following:
“As part of the Cenga Heftanin Revolutionary Movement in the Heftanin area of the Media Defense Areas, our YJA Star forces organized an action against the invading Turkish army at the Great Conference Hill on 2 January at 14.40.
7 enemy soldiers who were detected in this action, where an enemy position was targeted and hit with full accuracy, were killed.
Following the action, with the support of the invading Turkish army’s Atak helicopters, Skorsky helicopters removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area. At the same time, our forces have intensely fired at the attack helicopters that bombed the area and the helicopters were forced to move away from the area.”
HPG also gave the following information about the air attacks:
“On January 2, the warplanes belonging to the invading Turkish army fighter planes bombed the Kunishka area of the Zap region, the Kartal area of the Avashin region and the Geliyê Pisaxa area of the Heftanin region.” the HPG shared that the attacks were made at 19.00 from the Media Defence Areas.
HPG continued, “as a result of these attacks on Avaşin region, two of our friends reached martyrdom. The identity information of our friends who reached martyrdom will be shared with the public later. ”
