Social Media phenomenon Blue Gloves, or Mavi Eldivenli, shared in the latest episode of her YouTube series that she will be joining the ranks of the PKK.
At a time when Psychological Warfare is used so consistently and particularly against the youth of Northern Kurdistan, a young woman known as Blue Gloves shared in her latest episode that she will be joining the PKK, quoting the Peoples’ Leader Abdullah Ocalan, the young woman stated: “I know the PKK well, it is undefeatable.”
Covering a range of topics in the 11 videos posted by the channel, the Blue Gloves series quickly became famous in Northern Kurdistan for being so clearly outspoken against the assimilation and surrender policies of the Turkish state at a time when many young people have been either arrested or killed by the state simply for having a Kurdish identity. Emphasising the effects of psychological warfare on the youth of Kurdistan and particularly Northern Kurdistan, the young woman touched on the concealed war casualties of the Turkish state, the economic corruption, the silence of society against the massacres being committed next door, the starved corpses of people who are newly being unveiled with the melting snow and many other topics.
Stating that the PKK is a life lived to it’s fullest capacity, the young woman shared towards the end of her last video released late on 12.01.2020 that the Blue Gloves series which was started with a small group of people was to continue with a new face. The young woman shared that in the face of the vicious attacks of the enemy, “as a young woman and a member of the Kurdistan youth I believe that our most fundamental duty at this given moment is to commit ourselves to the free mountains. To join the ranks of freedom.” The young woman also added that the isolation being imposed on the Peoples’ Leader, Abdullah Ocalan, became a determining factor in the reaching of this decision.
