In an incident on 23 December, 17-year-old Yaşar Alperen Savaş, who attempted to escape a check-point for not having a drivers licence, was shot by the fascist police. The young man died late last night in the hospital he was taken to.
The assistant commissioner’s gun allegedly fired “accidentally,” puncturing Yaşar’s brain, according to his testimony.
The assistant commissioner who was taken into custody was sent freed by the court on the condition of judicial control and was reportedly not suspended.
