LIBYA

The Libyan National Army, led by the Khalifa Hafter, who fought against the occupying Turkish state and the Libyan National Covenant Government recognized by the United Nations, called for “mobilization” against the occupying Turkish soldiers after the Turkish Parliament approved the resolution to send troops to Libya.

According to a statement made by the Libyan National Army, “the fight to protect the homeland is the duty of the people.”

During the ongoing civil war in the country, similar calls were made many times before. The Libyan National Army called on the people to volunteer to join the police and military forces.

The struggle around Tripoli intensified in recent weeks after Khalifa Hafter launched a recent attack. While the Hafter government is being supported by the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, France and Russia, the Tripoli-based government, on the other hand, is being supported by Turkey, Qatar, and Italy.
