HPG (Peoples’ Protection Forces) Press Center detailed an action carried out in Heftanin on 13 January by Guerrilla forces. The information released by the Peoples’ Protection Forces is as follows:
“At 12.30 on 13 January, our forces organized a raid against the soldiers from the Media Defense Areas near the Partizan Hill as part of the ongoing Cenga Heftanin Revolutionary Movement in the Heftanin area.
Our forces entered positions on the hill and effectively shot enemy soldiers at close range. Our forces went up to the corpses of 5 occupying soldiers and seized a large number of military equipment, including 2 AK-47 (Kalashnikov) weapons, 1 grenade, and 1 HK-33 ammunition vest.
Following the action, the invading Turkish army removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area by Skorsky helicopters with the support of attack helicopters.
Our unit organizing the action has safely reached base areas.”
