The Children of Fire Initiative made a written statement detailing actions in Bursa and Istanbul.
The initiative stated that “a textile factory was set on fire in the Zeytinburnu district of Istanbul on 31.12.2019. As a result of the fire breaching the surrounding factories, two additional factories were completely destroyed, causing substantial material damage.”
Continuing, it was stated by the Initiative that “on 30.12.2019, a social facility which was preparing for New Year celebrations in Bursa was burned.” The Initiative stated that the facility was completely destroyed.
In another statement shared shortly after, the Children of Fire Initiative detailed that it had taken an action against a four-storey thread factory in Istanbul’s Arnavutköy on 01.01.2020.
