HESEKÊ, ROJAVA
Following the attacks of the invading Turkish state and its gangs, there has been a huge increase in the escape-attempts of ISIS families remaining in the Hol Camp. The camp is home to 71,000 people, including Syrian and Iraqi immigrants and women and children of ISIS.
A group of ISIS brides and their children fled from the camp and reached Hesekê, according to the Anti-Terror units of the SDF.
In the light of the information they obtained as a result of intelligence, the Antiterrorist Troops raided a house in the Kelasê neighbourhood to the west of Hesekê and caught the person who aided the escape of the women along with the 3 ISIS brides and 6 children who were later discovered to be Russian.
A member of the Anti-Terror Unit, Doğan Hesekê, stated “a raid was carried out against a house prepared for three ISIS women and six children who were attempting to flee to Turkey. We observed the group until they reached the city. We have captured the person responsible for the group’s escape and the ISIS women who were identified to be Russian citizens.
One of the ISIS brides stated, “we were planning to reach Idlib in Syria.”
Another woman confessed, “we tried to go to Turkey via the smugglers in Bab, Cerablus and Ezaz who smuggle people to Turkey.”
Security officer responsible for ISIS residents in the camps, Roj Hesen, said in a statement earlier that the occupation attacks of the Turkish state and gangs in northern and eastern Syria have made it difficult to control ISIS members and their families in the camps and prisons. Roj detailed that ever since the occupation attacks, the escape of 635 ISIS members were prevented.
