Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (Revolutionairy Youth Members) met with Greek and Kurdish youth in a panel discussion on Rojava.
Speaking on behalf of TCŞ, Serhat Erzurum mentioned the importance of the Rojava Revolution for local people and the importance of the recent developments for the Middle East and the peoples of the world, referring to the war crimes committed by the Turkish state and the resistance developed against it.
Stating that a revolution has taken place in Rojava Kurdistan, Serhat said, “By addressing the role and mission of the youth, it is our main goal to protect and enlarge the revolution.
Stating that they are in contact with all youth organizations in Greece, Serhat called on the importance of a joint action platform for solidarity with Northern Syria and Rojava. Serhat called on all Greek youth to take ownership and lead the process.
Referring to the isolation on Peoples’ Leader Abdullah Öcalan, Serhat said, “The architect of the Rojava Revolution is Mr. Abdullah Öcalan.” He stated that all attacks are linked and that the youth will play a historical role in the fight against fascism and will lead the process to success.
The Greek youth took the floor and stated that they were with the Kurdish people and that they would act against all the attacks to be developed by the Turkish state. “We are in solidarity with Rojava Kurdistan and the Kurdish people,” a member of the youth stated.
Stating that the Kurdish people suffered great pain and costs, the Greek youth emphasised that it is a historical responsibility to stand by the Kurdish people. The youth called for support to the global action for the Kurdish national unity day on 7 December and ended the panel by taking the questions of the participants.
