MINBIC, ROJAVA
Dozens of women from the districts and villages of Minbic came together at the city centres Women’s Junction for actions within the scope of the 25 November, “occupation is violence” move.
After a minute of silence, Tehani Elleziz spoke on behalf of the Minbic Young Women Assembly, while Nesrin Eli who was elected to speak on behalf of the Minbic Women’s Villages, and Ezab El-Abuud, a member of the Syrian Future Party made speeches.
All speakers declared that the attacks being imposed on Rojava and North East Syria, on the revolution which granted women a freedom greater than on anywhere else on the planet, would only strengthen the unity amongst the women. “We know what freedom is now, and there is not a force in the world which could ever take it away from us again,” Tehani Elleziz stated. “We have been the successors of a paradigm of womans liberation. Let all armies of the world unite, they are feeble against the will of any woman who has tasted freedom.”
The speakers, lending hands to those enslaved by the chains of capitalism, urged all women to cleanse themselves of the mentality of the man. “Only then can the woman realise who she truly is and how powerful she can be when she is removed from a system which reduces her to a mere tool.”
The women called on international forces to react to the crimes of the occupying Turkish state, who cannot tolerate the onliest foundations of woman’s freedom being built on the lands where different plans were made for.
The speech made by Tehani Elleziz is as follows: “The unique and powerful situation in Rojava has won. It will continue to win. Because here, on lands where jihadists were supposed to build an empire, they were crushed by the liberated woman. The vultures who would have otherwise feasted on the blood of people all across the world were burried by the woman warriors with pretty hair and kind hearts. And since then we have multiplied by hundreds and thousands. We have educated ourselves more determined on our success and we accept nothing but. So they may come, but they should know: we will fight street by street, house by house. Occupation is violence, of which we have seen so much. We will live and we are free.”
The Minbic Democratic Civil Administration, also shared a statement about the massacre committed by the jihadist Turkish state and its gangs in Til Rifat on 2 December. Eli El-Ebo, co-chair of the Administration, read: “On 2 December 2019, a massacre was carried out in Til Rifat of our civilian population by the occupying Turkish state. This massacre is the continuation of the killing and emigration practices of the Turkish state. As Minbic Democratic Civil Administration, we condemn the brutal attacks of the Turkish state. We call on the international community, Russia, the United States, the Arab League to fulfill its humanitarian and legal, international duties to limit the massacres of the Turkish state. ”
