AMED, NORTHERN KURDISTAN

Four Gendarmeries were caught with 8 kilograms of cannabis in their vehicles. The four gendarmes: FÖ, KT, OT, and HK were arrested for drug trafficking.

Exposed in a statement of the Amed Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, the gendarmerie personnel FÖ, KT, OT, and HK were arrested under an investigation conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on charges of trafficking and providing drugs or stimulants.

Regarding the actions in question, it was claimed by state-owned media organs that the crime was not carried out in an official vehicle. The occupiers allegedly used their own personal means of committing the crime.

Emphasis on the type of vehicle being used in the widespread drugging of Kurdish areas comes after 4 Turkish soldiers caught with 80kg of drugs in a military vehicle and confessed that this was not the first time, that they had built a widespread network of drug dealing and that they had used military vehicles to get past checkpoints.
