Khalif Haftar stated that if the fascist Turkish soldiers sparked conflict, the Libyan forces are ready to fight.
The Tripoli-based government prime minister Fayez al-Sarac announced on Thursday that they accept military support from the fascist Turkish state.
The Libyan National Army spokesman stated, “Whether it’s in Turkey or other countries, all countries are warning against attempts to build bridges with Turkish forces on Libyan soil. Be it Partisans, terrorist groups or Turks, all suspicious targets will be destroyed, ”he said.
Jihadist Ankara and the Islamist government in Tripoli signed a controversial agreement to set the maritime border at the end of November. Many countries, particularly Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and Israel, reacted to this agreement.
A military agreement was signed between Ankara and Tripoli. This agreement aims to increase the military presence of the Turkish state in Libya despite the UN’s arms embargo.
The government in the east of Libya does not recognize the legitimacy of its rival Tripoli-based government. Haftar-led troops have been in operation to seize the Tablus since April.
The Haftars state that Turkish forces have been providing arms and military advisers to Tripoli rebels. Haftar forces warned that they would target Turkish interests in Libya in a statement issued in June.
On Saturday evening, the pro-Haftar forces announced that they had seized a cargo ship with Turkish crew off the eastern coast of Libya.
