SİLÊMANİYÊ, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
A photo exhibition was organised in Silêmaniyê’s Tewar Salon, in support of Rojava Kurdistan.
The exhibition which was launched today and is set to end tomorrow saw intense participation on it’s first day. A total of 25 photos are being showed at the exhibition.
Speaking at the introduction of the exhibition, Emine Muhammed stated that the exhibition is a call of support to the people all over Kurdistan. Emphasising the importance of national unity, Emine stated that the occupation in Rojava is an attack to every Kurd, regardless of where they are located.
Abdulkadir Kerim, the artist behind the pieces being displayed in the exhibition, stated that “artists are the pioneers of society. Today, we call on all pioneers to turn to Rojava. Without doubt, those who carry the slightest of conscience will support Rojava.
As the artists of Suleymaniye, as the artists of Kurdistan we condemn the attacks of the fascist Turkish state. As the artists of Southern Kurdistan, we have more opportunities to be the voice of our people. To end the pain suffered by the Kurds, we will be pioneers.
We call on all of our people, take the attacks in Rojava as an attack against yourself. Because this is what the attacks are.
We salute all of our revolutionairy peoples, and commemorate the martyrs of revolution with respect. We send our love to our people who are fighting on the front lines as we speak.
As the Kurdish people, we must support Rojava by all means. With whatever it takes, we must unite. Only then can Rojava be successful.”
