Self-Defense Forces fighter Yusif Xalid, who was martyred in the Rojava Resistance, was buried with a ceremony held at the Martyr Dilşêr Burial Ground in the Dugur village of Tirbespiyê.
The funeral ceremony, which was attended by representatives of Kurdish, Arab and Assyrian peoples, as well as representatives of political parties and non-governmental organizations, started with a moment of silence.
Mahsum Hesen, the co-chair of the Qamishlo Martyrs’ Family Council, drew attention to the resistance of the peoples of the region against the occupation attacks. Stating that the Turkish state wants to pass the people of the region through the massacres, Hesen said that they will continue to follow the path of resistance created by the martyrs against the occupation.
After the speeches, the warrior’s certificate of martyrdom was read to the families.
