The SDF Press Center shared in a statement that on December 30, a special operation was carried out by Special Operations Units against the ISIS sleeping cell structures in the Şedadê region.
The SDF Press Centre shared, “During the successful operation of our troops, the cell structure that was active in Qamişlo, Hesekê and Dêrik was found to be preparing to attack the public with bomb-loaded vehicles. As a result, the terrorist leader, Iraqi Furat Sultan Hisên (codenamed Abu Mounzir), was captured.”
Sharing that the terrorist leader was captured live along with a bomb-loaded vehicle which was to be used in an attack in the city of Qamishlo, the SDF stated that “the bomb-loaded vehicle was destroyed in a controlled manner by our expert teams. ”
