RAQQA, ROJAVA
A gang of jihadists backed by Turkey abducted a pharmacist from Al-Sukariyyeh village west of Tal Abyad city, after he refused to sell the analgesic drug Tramadol, which is only sold with prescriptions. Sources of the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights said that the jihadists are of “al-Jabha al-Shamiyyah” which operates in Raqqa’s countryside.
Turkey’s jihadist factions practice violations against locals in occupied areas.
On December 4, SOHR shared that it had been informed by reliable sources that the Turkish-backed jihadists began demolishing houses in the Kormazat village, in the northern countryside of Raqqa.
According to the Syrian Observatory’s sources, the demolition involves homes of the Kurdish citizens of the village who were displaced by the Turkish states occupation operation “Peace Spring.”
In addition, the homes of members of the Syrian Democratic Forces in the areas are being specifically targetted, as part of the continuous violations by the Turkish state and it’s jihadist factions.
The Syrian Observatory published on 30 November that thefts and looting continue within Rojava, by Ankara-loyal factions, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights expressed that “the Turkish-backed factions of ‘Peace Spring’ started thieving barley in Abu Julud village in Mabrukah area in the western countryside of Serekaniye.” Three trailer trucks were loaded and taken from the area, while the flag of the jihadists was raised above the warehouse.
“The barley in this village is owned by the Christian family “Asfar and Najjar” and they are one of the most prominent pioneers in agriculture in the area. Sources informed SOHR that the number of barley bags stored in the village reached 8000, and the family could not transport them previously, where the factions come now to start their thefts as they already do in all areas that came under their control in the north-east of Syria.”
