HPG (Peoples’ Protection Forces) announced the identity of 3 guerrillas who heroically fought against the enemy in the clashes between the Derik district of Mardin and Weranşar district of Riha on 20 October. The description of the PKK army is as follows:
“In our statement dated 29 October, we shared three of our friends were martyred in a Turkish army operation launched between the Derik district of Mardin and the Viransehir district of Urfa on 20 October. The identity of our friends who reached martyrdom are as follows:

“Our friends, Eris, Hamza, and Şervan, who are one of the sons of the people of Kurdistan, have joined the guerrilla ranks against the genocide war of the colonialist – fascist Turkish state.
Our comrades, who are devoted to the values of their people and are defenders of these values, have had sacrificial participation from the first moment they came to the ranks. Our hero comrades, who made their names remembered with their valuable efforts, knew to be the militants of Leader Apo and managed to represent the leadership in the best way.
Our comrades who fought against the enemy without hesitation in the active war zone, caused heavy losses to the enemy and joined the caravan of immortal martyrs in an operation initiated by the fascist Turkish army.
We respectfully commemorate our friends, Eris, Hamza, and Şervan, who reached martyrdom in an area where they actively fought in a period when the attacks of fascism were most intense. We promise that we will triumph the flag of struggle that our martyrs handed over to us.”

“In our statement dated 31 October, we shared with the public the identity information of our three friends who reached martyrdom as a result of these conflicts in the Şifreza area of Çelê (Çukurca) district of Hakkari on 7 October.
Our friend, Çekdar Bilican (Mikail Özdinç), who we declared as a martyr, has not been martyred but has been captured by enemy forces.”
