WAN, NORTHERN KURDISTAN
On November 27, celebrations decorated all streets and neighborhoods in Wan. Fires were lit and slogans were chanted.
Celebrating the 41st anniversary of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, Wan youth fired fireworks on every street. Unable to enter the neighborhoods, the occupying Turkish police threw gas at the peoples by drones and helicopters. Despite this, young people who did not leave their fields continued to celebrate until late hours.
The same day Martyr Baran Dersim units carried out a series of actions against the occupying Turkish police simultaneously.
“Hand-made explosives were thrown at the enemy points in the central Wan district. Many soldiers were wounded. The precise number could not be obtained.
Simultaneously, hand-made explosives were thrown at enemy vehicles patrolling in the İpekyolu, Sihke, Akköprü neighborhooda and material damage was caused to the enemy forces.
Hand-made explosives were thrown at a military base in İpekyolu. Material damage was created.”
Concluding, the Units added, “As Martyr Baran Dersim Revenge Units, we celebrate the 41st anniversary of the establishment of the PKK once more.”
