AMED, NORTHERN KURDISTAN
Representatives of the Kurdish parties in Northern Kurdistan will hold talks with Southern Kurdistan.
The representatives expected to attend are Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair Berdan Ozturk, HDP MPs Imam Taşçıer, Ayse Acer Basaran, Nuran Imer, HDPE Co-Deputy Chairman Nazmi Gur, Kurdistan Democratic Party in Turkey (KDP- T) Chairman Mehmet Emin Kardas, Human and Freedom Party Chairman Mehmet Kamaç, Azadi Party Chairman Ayatullah Asiti. The delegation is expected to travel by air from Ankara to the Federated Kurdistan Region.
Representatives of Kurdish parties who will stay in the region for 3-4 days, will hold meetings with all non-governmental organizations and political parties in the region within the scope of the Kurdish national unity efforts.
‘Kurdistani Alliance Work’
In the declaration of Kurdish parties gathered in Amed on December 5, the following decisions were taken:
- Conduct a two-day workshop on 18-19 January 2020 on the structure, framework, components, functioning, path and method of the National Alliance;
- Organizing the workshop preparation by a commission of five;
- It was decided that “We are open to all of our Kurdistani parties and movements, which have not already taken part in the initial phase of the National Alliance activity, to participate in the Kurdistani Alliance Work.”
