BİELEFELD, GERMANY
Members of the YXK (Kurdistan Students Union) and JXK (Kurdistan Women Students Union) opened an exhibition at the University of Bielefeld with photographs taken during the occupation attacks, in chronological order to draw attention to the ongoing occupation attacks in Rojava.
The exhibition draws attention to the partnership of European and world states in the invasion and genocide attacks that began on October 9th and continue until today, and in particular the support of the German state for arms and military equipment. The exhibition also features footage of protests around the world aimed at solidarity with Rojava against the occupation. In addition to images of the fascist Turkish state’s cooperation with jihadist gangs, photographs of the Resistance of Honor are also on display.
YXK and JXK activists explained the purpose of the exhibition:
“With this exhibition we want to clarify the situation of Rojava and tell the unknown, invisible truths. There is a perception that a security corridor has been created, a ceasefire has been made and the war has stopped. Yet they turn the truth upside down.
In Rojava, the fascist Turkish army attacks the people of Rojava every day along with the jihadist militias, murders and the houses and shops of the people are looted. The courageous and determined resistance of Rojava self-defense forces and the public continues.
We want to inform our fellow students extensively against this occupation and show that the occupation is still going on. In addition, we want to say that with the policies of some states in Europe, we do not accept the attitudes that justify this occupation and that the invasion and genocide attacks actually target humanity and the idea of living together. ”
YXK-JXK called for the one-week exhibition to be visited by all students.
