CENTRAL NEWS

A scream rose towards the greying sky. It wasn’t a scream, it was screams, it was Dersim, it was Kocgiri, Maraş, Zilan. On 28 December 2011 at 21:20 when the screams had changed names to Roboskî, the silence of the night was torn with the sound of bombs. Screams were rising from disintegrating bodies. 34 civilians, 19 of whom were children, who were living on the border trading tea, cigarettes and diesel oil in Southern Kurdistan for years, were massacred by hundreds of pounds of bombs by the F-16 warplanes attached to the Turkish army on their way back to their villages. In the bombings carried out with 4 fighter jets, humanity was massacred in the person of 34 lives.

Yes, humanity was being slaughtered. But slaughtered-humanity was applauding. Because the Kurds were massacred. When it was announced that they were Kurds, congratulations were flying in the air. They had what they wanted and 34 Kurds had been reduced from the world. That is why Roboski’s rehearsal took place in 2010. It was expected that the General Staff and Erdogan gangs would gather around the round table and take time to implement this decision. A year had passed and the massacre would begin, Erdogan and the General Staff would implement their decision.

Bombs were launched on people who were forced to pursue smuggling jobs in order to maintain their daily lives and to raise tuition fees. This was no longer a rehearsal. On 28 December 2011, the massacre order was put into practice and 34 lives were taken. As the screams of souls rose from the ground, Maras, Dersim came to mind, then Zilan and then charred 34 bodies were aligned side by side. 34 lives were charred and shattered. Their internal organs were scattered around. The organs of the mules were also around. The organs of humans and animals were mingled. With the lamentation of mothers tearing up the sky, the shattered bodies were first transported by mules and then by tractor-trailers. It is not easy to forget the torn bodies wrapped in blankets, the bodies loaded on the tractor.

While 80 planes were used for bombing in Zilan in 1930, the Kurds who took refuge in Zilan Valley were subjected to a complete genocide by the military operation carried out by the Corps Commander Salih Pasha. Zilan was bombed by aeroplanes, mountains and streams were under fire. More than 15 thousand Kurds took refuge in Zilan valley.

Again in 1935, Mustafa Kemal’s spiritual daughter Sabiha Gokcen Dersim bombed and massacred 13,862 people. On 19 and 26 December 1978, the massacre began in Marash. In just one week, according to official data, 111 people are killed and more than 500 people died according to unofficial declarations, hundreds of people were injured, 210 houses and 70 workplaces were destroyed. The massacres, again, targeted Kurds.

The same explanation was made in the Dersim massacre as in the Roboski Massacre. They state that they are not aware of the bombing. Criminals were cleared one by one. While Roboski was massacred, fascist Erdoğan also declared that he was not aware of the bombing.

As with the other massacres in history, it was the Kurds who were massacred in the Roboski massacre.

The mentality which rained bombs by aeroplanes began to give the message that the blood of the Kurds was permissible.

In the Maraş Massacre, the mentality of “those who kill 5 Alevi Kurds will go to pilgrimage” continued in Roboski. Yes, the tears of mothers who have been wearing black at the graves of their children for the past 8 years have never stopped. The screams of the Roboski mother’s still ring in the ears.
