The anti-government demonstrations which started on October 1st in Iraq, continue especially in the capital Baghdad and Arab Shiite poppulated areas, despite the resignation of the prime minister.
One week after the demonstrations started, ISIS, which was revived in Iraq and Kurdistan after the invasion of the Turkish state against the northern and eastern Syria, started to attack peshmerga, public order and Iraqi army forces.
ISIS gangs attacked the peshmerga and public order forces in Mosul, Kirkuk, Anbar, Talafar, Tikrit and Basur’s Xaneqin, Kifri, Kelar, Xürmatü, Diyala and Celavla regions.
ISIS attacked the security forces in the town of Gulleco in Kifri and attacked the Iraqi army forces in Celavla the previous day, as well as the peshmerga forces located at the border of Gulleco town last night.
Last night an ISIS attack was also made to the peshmerga infantry brigade. In the attack, 3 peshmerga lost their lives, while 2 peshmerga was also injured. The Peshmerga Ministry also confirmed the attack.
Attack on US bases
ISIS also launched rocket attacks on US bases in Iraq. The night before the Ayn al-Assad Military Base of the United States in Enbar was the target of missiles. 5 missiles hit the base in the attack, no explanation was made about the loss of life or property damage.
According to information obtained from military sources, 2 Katyusha-type rocket fell to the Beled Military Air Base in Saladin in the evening, it was learned that rocket firing did not cause any loss of life.
