The Diyarbakır Governor’s Office has officially banned press releases made by the Lawyer’s for Freedom Association (ÖHD) about the violations of human rights by Turkey.
The Diyarbakır Governor’s Office banned the press release ÖHD was to make in the Koşuyolu Park in front of the Humans’ Rights Monument about the violations of rights. The governorate threatened that they will initiate the necessary legal actions in case they go on with such press releases.
ÖHD executives stated that they will hold the press release in front of the monument despite the ban.
