HPG Press Center has released a written statement, sharing the martyrdom of 6 guerrillas. The statement is as follows:
“The Kurdistan Freedom Movement has witnessed unprecedented heroism in its history of great resistance. Against the war of denial and annihilation against the Kurdistan society, a group of bouncer militants carrying their dreams of freedom on their backs, not only fulfilled their moral and conscientious responsibilities, but also carried out a voluntary struggle with great faith and determination.
Comrades Andok, Bawer, Cudi, Marwan, Numan and Yaşar, who realized that freedom requires great sacrifices, efforts and struggle, were martyred as a result of an attack by the fascist Turkish army in the Elemun area of Şırnak in the district of Uludere (Qileban) on 20 July 2018. Our comrades Andok, Bawer, Cudi, Marwan, Numan and Yaşar embarked on a path of freedom in order to ensure the liberation of the people of Kurdistan, and fought with great faith. They fought heroically against the enemy with a bouncer spirit in our Kurdish Freedom Struggle. Our six friends, who have gained an important place in the hearts of their comrades with their concise, sincere and honest positions in the guerrilla ranks, have endeavored to fulfill their duties in the best way possible.
They developed themselves in the struggle of a Freed Kurdistan and Freed Leadership with great revolutionary moves and have been the owners of great labour.
We extend our condolences to the patriotic Kurdistan people, especially the precious families of our comrades Andok, Bawer, Cudi, Marwan, Numan and Yaşar, and we promise to carry out our struggle mercilessly until we realize the ideals of a free life constructed by our martyrs.”
