HPG (Peoples’ Protection Forces) Press Center detailed actions carried out in Iğdır.
“As part of the ongoing Revolutionary Victory Movement in the province of Serhat, our YJA Star forces carried out a series of assassinations against soldiers at the Korxan police station in the Kirê Kor area of Iğdır on December 18, 09.30,” the Guerrilla army shared. “3 enemy soldiers were killed as a result of accurate shots.”
“Again, within the scope of the revolutionary move, our forces organized a sabotage action against a convoy of armored vehicles of the invading Turkish army on December 16 in the direction of the Aydınlar police station in the district of Iğdır.
The panzer-type armored vehicle targeted in the convoy was shot down and destroyed with the soldiers inside. The number of dead soldiers in this vehicle, which was completely destroyed, could not be determined.
Following the action, the invading Turkish army, which removed the dead soldiers from the area, launched an operation in the area. This operation was terminated on 18 December without any results.
Our troops carrying out the actions within the scope of the move have safely reached base areas.”
Detailing airstrikes carried out by the occupying Turkish state, the HPG shared “at night, on December 16, warplanes belonging to the invading Turkish army bombed the Dola Şivemêzê area of the Heftanin area from the Media Defense Areas. We did not suffer any loss in these bombings. ”
