CENTRAL NEWS

The HBDH (Peoples’ United Revolutionary Movement) militia has shared a written statement in regards to the 1978 Maras massacre, 2011 Roboski massacre and the massacres in dungeons in 2000, commemorating those who were killed by the Turkish state.

HBDH stated, “Almost every day passes with massacre, violence and persecution. The massacres of labourers, Alevis, Kurds and women call for a united liberation and struggle.”

The description of HBDH is as follows:

“There are countries with histories full of the values which it offers to human development and contributes to humanity. There are countries, on the other hand, which record a different massacre every day, where history is written with blood.

In the massacres carried out by bullies, the blood which stains the soil is not removed from memory.

Neither freedom nor justice can be expected from the Turkish state, in a country where every Kurdish person is considered to be a terrorist. In the course of decades, neither Maras nor Roboski nor the 19 December Dungeon massacre was forgotten.

In 1978, a massacre was committed by the Ecevit government in Maras against the Alevi people who were brutally murdered just like the Kurdish people in Roboski. Over the years, neither the massacres nor their commanders have been arrested or tried.

The peoples who lived through the massacre of Maras, today live by the same racist chauvinist mentality where the doors in Alevi neighbourhoods are marked.”

Stating that the greatest crime is the creation of discrimination and racism among peoples, beliefs and languages, HBDH continued:

“Yesterday, the Turkish state was hostile to the Greek-Armenian-Syriac people. Today, the same hostility is directed towards the Kurdish, the Alevi, and the female and the way to killings is paved.

On 28 December 2011, poor Kurdish children in Roboski were massacred on the snowy roads where they set out for a piece of bread in the fight for life.

In the statement made by the chief of general staff, the 14-15 years old whose bodies bloodied the snow with bombs thrown from planes, it was stated that a group of terrorists crossing the border were noticed and punished by the security forces. This massacre was as fruitless as the Saturday Mothers seeking justice.

With the massacre that took place in the dungeons on December 19, 2000, the rights of life of the revolutionary prisoners were taken away.

All kinds of burning, destructive methods and attacks were initiated by the bloody executioners of the fascist Republic of Turkey who sought to break the will of revolutionary prisoners’ into submission and surrender. But they were wrong. Months turned into seasons; the Death Fasting, the indefinite Hunger Strike, and the resistance of the revolutionary prisoners added new dimensions to the resistance of the oppressed.”

Calling for unity, the HBDH shared, “either we will walk together on the road to freedom, justice and equality, or every day a new one will add to the bloodstains under the grip of death and poverty.

Today, more than yesterday, the fate of Kurds-Alevis-Women-Laborers is written together. Freedom, justice, the liberation of those who seek bread are together. We are faced with the task of expanding the united struggle and spreading it to the mountains, squares and factories of the country.”
