In a series of simultaneous actions, the Children of Fire Initiative have blazed all the forested areas in Trabzon, while fires still continue to spread and neighbouring villages and cities are being evacuated.
According to the information obtained from the Initiative, 10 houses have been burnt to ashes while the blazing fires continue to spread throughout the region.
In a signed statement, the Initiative stated, “our initiative has set fire to all forested areas in a simultaneous action in all Districts of the Trabzon Province on 23/12/2019.”
The initiative signed, “These fires will not be extinguished until the fascist, genocidal, colonial system turns to ashes. Children of Fire Initiative.”
